I Like Cinnamon with my Linux

Although I’m a huge Ubuntu fan (I actually like the Unity desktop and think it offers very innovative features) I finally got fed up with Ubuntu 12.04′s sluggish interface and poor support for my printer.

Based on how well Linux Mint 12 continues to perform on my wife’s little Toshiba netbook,  I decided to give Mint 13 a try, and I’m impressed. The new desktop environment, Cinnamon, is just outstanding. It’s smooth, responsive, and elegant. It’s dead simple to use but has great features like multiple desktops, great applets for the panel, and–of course–the Mint Menu.

To round out the polished interface and snappy response, Mint 13 works flawlessly with my printer.

If you’re looking for a really smooth Linux experience that is easy on the eyes and incredibly user-friendly, I highly recommend Linux Mint.
